          The commercial banking system dominates Bangladesh's financial sector. Bangladesh Bank is the Central Bank of Bangladesh and the chief regulatory authority in the sector. The banking system is composed of four state-owned commercial banks, five specialized development banks, thirty eight private commercial Banks and nine foreign commercial banks. The Nobel-prize winning Grameen Bank is a specialized micro-finance institution, which revolutionized the concept of micro-credit and contributed greatly towards poverty reduction and the empowerment of women in Bangladesh.

Bangladesh Central bank

    Bangladesh Bank : Pursuant to Bangladesh Bank Order, 1972 the Government of Bangladesh reorganized the Dhaka branch of the State Bank of Pakistan as the central bank of the country, and named it Bangladesh Bank with retrospective effect from 16 December 1971.
    Banks : After the independence, banking industry in Bangladesh started its journey with 6 Nationalized commercialized banks, 2 State owned Specialized banks and 3 Foreign Banks. In the 1980s banking industry achieved significant expansion with the entrance of private banks. Now, banks in Bangladesh are primarily of two types:
ScheduledBanks: The banks which get license to operate under Bank Company Act,1991 (Amended in 2003) are termed as Scheduled Banks. Non-ScheduledBanks: The banks which are established for special and definiteobjective and operate under the acts that are enacted for meeting upthose objectives, are termed as Non-Scheduled Banks. These bankscannot perform all functions of scheduled banks.

** আই. পি. ও. করতে যা যা লাগবে জেনে নিন **
১. একটি ব্যাংক একাউন্ট করতে হবে ( সরকারী বা বেসরকারী যে কোন ব্যাংক-এ) ।
২. স্টক এক্সচেঞ্জ অনুমদিত যে কোন শেয়ার ক্রয়-বিক্রয়কারী প্রতিষ্ঠান হতে বি. ও. (বেনিফিসারি অনারস ) একাউন্ট  করতে হবে ।
৩. একটি ব্যাংক একাউন্ট থেকে সর্বোচ্চ দুইটি বি. ও. একাউন্ট করতে পারবেন (একটি নিজস্ব একাউন্ট, এবং অন্যটি জয়েন্ট একাউন্ট ) ।

 **  বি. ও. একাউন্ট করতে লাগবে জেনে নিন **
১. ব্যাংক সার্টিফিকেট / ব্যাংক স্টেটমেন্ট ।
২. পাসপোর্ট আকারের ছবি (২ কপি ) এবং জাতীয় পরিচয় পত্রের ফটোকপি ।
৩. নমিনী ছবি এবং নমিনীর জাতীয় পরিচয়পত্র / জন্ম নিবন্ধনের ফটোকপি ।
৪. শেয়ার ক্রয়-বিক্রয়কারী প্রতিষ্ঠান ভেদে  ৬০০-১১০০/- টাকা ।
৫. সংশ্লিষ্ট শেয়ার ক্রয়-বিক্রয়কারী প্রতিষ্ঠানের যে কোন একজন পরিচয়দানকারী গ্রাহকের স্বাক্ষর ।
৬. জয়েন্ট একাউন্ট-এর ক্ষেত্রে অন্য একজনের পাসপোর্ট আকারের ছবি (২ কপি ) এবং জাতীয় পরিচয় পত্রের ফটোকপি ।

Credit Card Bill Payment

Now any Dutch Bangla Bank Limited's Acount holder can pay Credit bill within a second from any booth any time. To pay you should follow some steps:
First, Enter your debit card and Pin number
Second, Select Bill/Fees option & then Select Other & then Alico
Third, Provide the Bill ID no & select Correct button
Fourth, Enter Amount you want to transfer & select Correct button.

After successful transfer You will get a Acknowledgement slip and keep it for future reference.

Shortcut: Bill/Fees > Other > Alico > Bill ID > Correct >Amount> Correct

Alico Bill Payment by ATM

Now any Dutch Bangla Bank Limited's Acount holder can pay Alico Insurence bill within a second from any booth any time. To pay you should follow some steps:
First, Enter your debit card and Pin number
Second, Select Bill/Fees option & then Select Other & then Alico
Third, Provide the Bill ID no & select Correct button
Fourth, Enter Amount you want to transfer & select Correct button.

After successful transfer You will get a Acknowledgement slip and keep it for future reference.

Shortcut: Bill/Fees > Other > Alico > Bill ID > Correct >Amount> Correct

Balance Transfer in DBBL

Now any Dutch Bangla Bank Limited's Acount holder can transfer balance from one account to any other account upto 50,000 taka per day within a second. To transfer balance from one Account to another you should follow some steps:
First, Enter your debit card and pin number
Second, Select Fund Transfer option & then Select Third party
Third, Provide account Number (which Account Number you want to transfer)
Should provide 13 digits:
Example1: Account no 123.101.2345; you will enter 1231010002345
Example2: Account no 123.101.12345; you will enter 1231010012345
Example3: Account no 123.101.123456; you will enter 1231010123456
(You should provide first six digits of your Account number then you will enter zero to fulfill your desire 13 digits account number.)
Fourth, After confirm your desire account number select Correct Button
Fift, Enter Amount you want to transfer & select Correct button

Shortcut: Fund Transfer > Third party > Acoount No > Amount

After successful transfer You will get a Acknowledgement slip and keep it for future reference.
